Terms of Service

Last updated: May 22, 2026

1. Agreement

By creating a BotLauncher account, paying for a subscription, or embedding our chatbot widget on your website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

BotLauncher provides a done-for-you AI chat assistant service for small businesses. We build, train, host, and maintain a custom chatbot widget that you embed on your website. The service includes:

  • Custom AI training on your business information, services, and FAQs
  • Hosted chat widget served from our infrastructure
  • Dashboard for managing leads, conversations, and bot settings
  • Lead notifications via email and (where applicable) SMS

3. Setup Fee & Subscription

New customers pay a one-time setup & custom AI training fee plus a recurring monthly subscription. The setup fee is non-refundable once we begin building your bot (typically within 24 hours of payment). Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.

You can cancel your subscription anytime from the dashboard or via the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months.

4. Conversation Limits

Each plan includes a monthly conversation cap (Starter: 500, Growth: 2,000, Pro: 1,000,000). When you reach your cap, the chatbot continues serving existing visitors but new conversations are paused until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade your plan.

5. Your Content & Data

You retain all rights to the business information, FAQs, and other content you provide. You grant BotLauncher a limited license to use this content solely to operate and improve the service for you. We do not sell your data or your visitors' conversation data to third parties.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use BotLauncher to:

  • Send spam, harass, or deceive visitors
  • Collect sensitive personal data (medical records, financial accounts, government IDs) through the chatbot
  • Violate any law or third-party rights
  • Reverse-engineer or resell the service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. AI Limitations

The chatbot uses large language models which can occasionally produce inaccurate or unexpected responses. You are responsible for reviewing the bot's training material and informing visitors that they are speaking with an AI assistant. BotLauncher is not liable for business decisions made based on chatbot output.

8. Service Availability

We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or experience outages from upstream providers (Stripe, Clerk, OpenAI, hosting). We are not liable for losses from downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BotLauncher's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
