Who we are

BotLauncher operates an AI chatbot platform that small businesses embed on their websites. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Information we collect

From our customers (business owners):

• Account info (name, email) via Clerk authentication
• Business profile (company name, services, hours, FAQs, contact details)
• Payment info processed by Stripe (we never see card numbers)
• Usage data (which pages you visit, which actions you take in the dashboard)

From your website's visitors (when they chat with your bot):

• Messages they type in the chat widget
• Contact info they voluntarily provide (name, email, phone) when captured as a lead
• The page URL where the conversation happened
• An anonymous session ID stored in their browser

How we use it

• To generate AI responses (we send conversation context to OpenAI)
• To show you leads and conversation history in your dashboard
• To send you lead notifications by email and SMS where configured
• To process your subscription and prevent fraud
• To improve and operate the service

Who we share with

We use a small set of trusted subprocessors to deliver the service:

• OpenAI — generates chatbot responses. Conversation text is sent through their API.
• Clerk — authenticates customer accounts.
• Stripe — processes payments.
• Replit — hosts our infrastructure and database.
• Resend / Twilio — sends email and SMS notifications.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep customer account and conversation data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we keep records for up to 90 days for billing and tax purposes, then delete them. You can request earlier deletion by emailing us.

Your rights

You can:

• Access, correct, or delete your data by emailing privacy@botlauncher.xyz
• Export your leads and conversations from the dashboard
• Cancel your subscription at any time

If you're a website visitor and want your conversation data removed, contact the business whose chatbot you used — they own that data and can request deletion on your behalf.

Cookies & tracking

The embedded chat widget stores a session ID in the visitor's browser (localStorage) so the conversation can continue across page loads. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are managed by Clerk and never reach our servers. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe. We follow standard security practices but no system is perfectly secure — please use a strong password and don't reuse it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice.
